Alojamiento turístico en la ciudad de Buenos Aires: Un abordaje descriptivo y analítico bajo la lente de la integración

Abstract

En este artículo se aborda el alojamiento turístico como elemento esencial del turismo en la ciudad de Buenos Aires. Se describen y analizan las características de las distintas formas de alojamiento, los instrumentos jurídicos en los que se basan las clasificaciones y la evolución de ellos. A su vez, se analizan las prácticas sociales de los turistas a través de los diversos tipos de alojamiento turístico con el fin de elucidar niveles de integración social. La metodología es cualitativa basada en entrevistas en profundidad y también se realiza análisis documental y estadístico con base en normativas y datos provenientes de los organismos públicos de turismo. Como resultados principales se observan diversos niveles de interacciones sociales según cada tipo de alojamiento, lo cual denota cierta correlación entre los establecimientos y las relaciones sociales que emergen a partir de las prácticas de los turistas.The paper addresses tourist lodging accommodations as an essential part of the tourism phenomenon in the city of Buenos Aires. The characteristics of the different forms of accommodations, the legal instruments and their evolution are described and analyzed. In turn, the social practices of tourists are analyzed through the different types of tourist accommodations in order to gain insight into the levels of social integration. A qualitative methodology is used based on in-depth interviews and documentary and statistical analysis is also carried out based on regulations and data from public tourism agencies. The study found that different levels of social interactions can be observed according to each type of accommodation, denoting a connection between the accommodation and the social relations that emerge from the practices of tourists.
