The socioeconomic activities carried out in the intermountain plain of Buenos Aires show a marked dependence on groundwater resources, which have become the region's primary source of available drinking water. The management of this resource requires, among other things, understanding the aquifer recharge rates. This document assesses the information generated through continuous groundwater level measurements over the past two decades, with a particular focus on determining the percentage of rainfall that reaches the aquifer. The water table fluctuation method was used for this purpose, which, for its application, requires specific storage coefficient values. To prepare this work, a bibliographic review of values reported in the scientific literature was conducted, which varied between 9% and 35% depending on the implemented methodology. The recharge values found in this study ranged from 7% to 19% of precipitation, with a predominance of recharge processes in the winter and spring seasons. Additionally, a similar dynamic in the aquifer's response to precipitation was identified, and it was observed how extreme hydroclimatological events can directly impact the groundwater resource.
