In this article we analyze student emotions in the context of pandemic, based on the results of a self-administered survey conducted between October and December 2020 to 2206 young people attending 15 staterun public secondary schools located in peripheral urban areas of the province of Buenos Aires, Argentina. We assume that emotions are not presented in a pure state and that we can only access them in their discursive manifestation (Kessler, 2009). We focus particularly on subjective experiences related to fear of loss and feelings of loneliness.
