The so-called crisis of Marxism in the decade of 1980-1989 is considered an unquestionable chapter in intellectual history. The conjunction of theoretical crisis -Marxism as Althusser's finite theory- with eurocommunist strategy -with the pronouncement of the parties of France, Italy and Spain in favor of parliamentary paths to socialism- made a dent in a sector of the intellectual field of Latin America that, between the military dictatorships and the transitions to democracy, introduced those topics into the agenda of intellectual debate -from dependence to democracy- and into the self-criticism of its role -problem between the intellectual field and the political field-. In this light, trajectories such as that of Alberto Parisí have been little traveled. An Argentine exile in Mexico, he developed a workshop experience in the first years of the Sandinista revolution that was reflected in the book A Latin American Reading of Marx's Capital. In the referenced context, we maintain that Parisí's interventions demonstrate a conception of Marxism far removed from the paradigmatic crisis, for its recreation he uses inputs from the theory of dependency and that his itinerary, like others, takes the Sandinista revolution as a stage for intellectual debate.
