Daniel Rodríguez Mujica, also known as Muxica, produced an anthology of Argentine erotic poetry, published in two editions, in 1995 and 2002, over seven years. At once thematic and panoramic, this is one of the best anthologies of Argentine poetry, both comprehensive and innovative. In it, we review the characteristics of the anthology as a discursive genre, its classification, and highlight its uniqueness, comparing it with other anthologies based on the aforementioned typology. We also affirm the historiographical function of anthologies in relation to poetry. Finally, we highlight the figure of the anthologist-author, who creates an open whole from what already exists as an innovative reading, generating new effects of meaning within the poems themselves, in relation to Muxica's own poetry and, above all, in terms of the conception of the poetic and the erotic.
