Ginster o la épica surrealista kracaueriana. Sobre la biografía como forma de destierro sentimental

Abstract

El presente artículo se propone interpretar la novela Ginster de Siegfried Kracauer como respuesta crítica a la biografía burguesa en el contexto de la República de Weimar. Se recupera para ello la tarea que el autor hace explícita para la literatura hacia finales de este período: la construcción alternativa de la imagen del ser humano. Se analiza también la apelación a los sentimientos en la construcción de la subjetividad de la narración biográfica. El artículo destaca asimismo los elementos surrealistas que, en competencia con otras tendencias como la Lebensphilosophie o el expresionismo, Kracauer recupera para la elaboración de una imagen crítica del hombre.This paper aims at reading Siegfried Kracauer’s novel Ginster as a critical response to the bourgeois biography during the Weimar Republic. The development of this objective recovers Kracauer’s literary task formulated at the end of the period: the necessary construction of an alternative image of human being. The article revises the appealing to feelings for the construction of subjectivity in biographical narration. Finally, the analysis is also intended to show the confrontation with Lebensphilosophie and expressionism by stressing the surrealist elements in the elaboration of a different image of man.
