With this article we seek to contribute to think the relationship between knower and object of study in the field of masculinities studies. Retrieving the contributions of contemporary feminist epistemologies, we propose the inclusion of a partial and situated perspective, identifying some epistemological obstacles related to male habitus. We identify in the approach to feminist theories and practices, some "antidotes" needed to get away from the masculinist outlook of the world, understanding the transformation of our gendered subjectivities and practices as a necessary condition for the production of knowledge that contributes to the transformation of social power relations.
