El antifeminismo y el debate sobre la identidad de género a través de los casos de Emmanuel Danann y Roma Gallardo

Abstract

El objetivo principal de este trabajo es estudiar cómo se aborda el debate sobre la identidad de género en los vídeos de dos youtubers radicados en Argentina y España respectivamente (Emmanuel Danann y Roma Gallardo). En primer lugar, se identificarán los principales ar- gumentos empleados en los vídeos para defender la verdad biológica y funcional del cuerpo contra la realidad trans1. En segundo lugar, se situarán dichos discursos en el marco de sentido del movimiento antifeminista, con el que, consideramos, establecen sinergias discursivas. En tercer lugar, se contraargumentará desde las aportaciones de Silvia Federici, Judith Butler y Sara Ahmed esta lectura de lo biológico como lo natural y lo funcional, así como su rechazo a la política pública y la institucionalización de los feminismos y movimientos LGBTQ+.

The main objective of this work is to study how the gender identity debate is approached in the vídeos of two YouTubers based in Argentina and Spain, respectively (Emmanuel Danann and Roma Gallardo). First, the main arguments used in the vídeos to defend the biological and functional truth of the body against the trans reality will be identified. Secondly, these discourses will be placed within the framework of the antifeminist movement, with which, we argue, they establish discursive synergies. Thirdly, a counter-argument will be presented based on the contributions of Silvia Federici, Judith Butler, and Sara Ahmed to challenge this reading of the biological as the natural and functional, as well as its rejection of public policy and the institutionalization of feminism and LGBTQ+ movements.
