La crítica cultural y el vacío barroco: revisión de estudios recientes en torno a Literal

Abstract

En el siguiente artículo nos proponemos realizar una revisión de los estudios críticos recientes sobre la revista Literal (1973-1977). Se trata de un objeto cultural complejo: por su posición en el campo literario es pensada en vínculo con Martín Fierro ((1924-1927) y en tensión respecto de Contorno (1953-1959), a la vez que constituye la tentativa de reinvención de la crítica en una singular zona de cruces y mixturas entre teoría y crítica, literatura y política. La revisión de estudios recientes requiere realizar un recorte, es decir, reponer las contribuciones más relevantes de cada trabajo para dar paso al siguiente corolario: una serie de significantes orbitan en torno a un vacío –o elemento desatendido en el análisis-, esto es, la constitución de una ética y estética barroca transhistórica que atraviesa ciertas escrituras del continente y actualiza el canon alternativo de Literal.In the following article we propose to carry out a review of recent critical studies on the Literal magazine (1973-1977). It is a complex cultural object: due to its position in the literary field, it is thought in connection with Martín Fierro (1924- 1927) and in tension with Contorno (1953-1959), at the same time that it constitutes an attempt to reinvent criticism in a singular area of intersections and mixtures between theory and criticism, literature and politics. The review of recent studies requires making a cut, that is, replacing the most relevant contributions of each work to give way to the following corollary: a series of significants orbit around a void —or element disregarded in the analysis—, that is, the constitution of a transhistorical baroque ethics and aesthetics that crosses certain writings of the continent and actualize the alternative canon of Literal.
