Resumen
The unstable diabetic is one of the most complex issues in the management of canine DM. Though a consensus regarding the terminology is yet to be reached, diabetic instability could be defined as a state of “uncontrollable” DM during insulin therapy, characterized by persistent difficulties in glycemic control or treatment goals achievement. This state is potentially reversible; however, in some cases, it may be permanent, and is associated with multiple patient, owner and management factors.
