This article was developed as part of a larger research project which aims to study mediatized political discourse during the Argentinean agrarian conflict of the year 2008, from a Critical Discourse Analysis approach. The purpose of this paper is to detect and analyze, in the agrarian leaders’ speeches from the most important political rallies that took place during the conflict, the recurrences in the discursive construction of addressees (Verón, 1987). The analysis shows an important coincidence in the main addressee construction strategies, in particular in relation to the topics that are put forward by the speakers, namely the spontaneity of the protests, the conceptualization of Argentina as a raw materials producer, the matter of income distribution and the federalism/unitarism opposition.
