El niño difunto y su configuración como angelito: Norte argentino y sur del Paraguay

Abstract

Presentamos los resultados de la investigación sobre los niños difuntos y su configuración como angelitos (delimitando los casos a abortos espontáneos o naturales, niños fallecidos antes del parto o al poco tiempo de nacer) entre población de credo católico, en el Norte de la República Argentina y el Sur del Paraguay. Se han priorizado el método etnográfico, las entrevistas en profundidad y observaciones con diversos grados de participación; el trabajo de campo se ha realizado entre 2010 y 2018. Focalizamos en el análisis en las formas de comprender, explicar y vivenciar la muerte de los casos señalados. Damos cuenta de una particular forma de construir la muerte en estrecho vínculo a la categoría emic de angelito. En los tipos de muerte señalados el destino post mortem será el Tercer Cielo, al angelito se le otorgará un espacio especial en el universo de los muertos, siendo protector de los vivos está facultado para concretar las relaciones de mediación entre lo humano y lo sagrado; a saber: ente los hombres y Dios.We present the results of the research on deceased children and their configuration as little angel (delimiting cases to spontaneous or natural abortions, children who died before delivery or shortly after birth) among the population of the Catholic faith, in the North of the Argentine Republic and the South of Paraguay. The ethnographic method, in-depth interviews and observations with different degrees of participation have been prioritized; The field work has been carried out between 2010 and 2018. We focus on the analysis on the ways of understanding, explaining and experiencing the death of the cases mentioned. We realize a particular way of constructing death in close connection to the emic category of little angel. In the types of death indicated, the post-mortem destiny will be the Third Heaven. The little angel will be given a special space in the universe of the dead. Being protector of the living, he is empowered to make the mediation relationships between the human and the sacred; namely: between men and God.
