In the early 20th century, at the saga of the Argentinian "agrarian matter", taxes were emerging as the best instruments of redistribution and of "land reforms", becoming the “georgism” one of the most relevant expressions among intellectuals and leaders. This paper aims to determine variations in the ideological foundations and interests of the regulation of the territorial taxes from its origins up to the tax on the free land from improvements in the province of Jujuy. We analyze the evolution of the income from the territorial taxes and the succession of its laws, between late 19th century and 1930, in Jujuy; We study the processes of revaluation of the property for cadastres and determine divergent political positions of political leaders and of the property owners in these actions
