The normalization of the General Confederation of Labor began to take shape at the end of 1960 and was completed in January 1963. The handover of the organization to a Provisional Commission in March 1961 was fined by the Arturo Frondizi’s government, which imposed as a condition that it be constituted outside of political interests, excluding communist unionism from representative positions. This article analyses the course and positions of the trade union group led by the Communist Party, the “Movement for Trade Union Unity and Coordination”. The starting point of the study is the dissolution of the “Unified Labor Movement” in mid-1960, going through the study of the Provisional Commission of the General Confederation of Labor during 1961 and 1962, until reaching the normalization process of the workers organization in 1963.
