This paper explores the itineraries of right-wing “political bestsellers” by analyzing six presentations at the Buenos Aires Book Fair in 2022. In a context of polarization, the presentations stage disputes under the logic of the cultural and publishing world. The idea of “cultural battle” as a moment of interpellation is staged in events that function as spaces of cultural and political sociability. We present a model for the analysis of the presentations, and we advance with its approach based on key dimensions for the collective construction of the political book: the dynamics of the events, the performance of the authors and the behavior of the audience. The aim is to contribute to the understanding of the political meanings of mass dissemination books, taking into account the place of these events in the configuration of a literature that challenges authors, readers/buyers and publishers.
