The expansion and consolidation of the supermarket sector match up with the consolidation of the neoliberal structural reforms period. It becomes very interesting to analyse the kind of work relationships that are built with these particular emerging conditions, the firm’s huge sensibility at demand fluctuations, and their young hiring oriented rules. The present paper is just a part of a broader investigation called “Control mechanisms & conflict configurations. A supermarket sector study case’’, in Ceil-Piette, from CONICET. The goal is to get a deep understanding on the work force relations characters in the supermarket sector firms. Accordingly, there is a comparative evaluation on the control mechanisms that are shaped in each supermarket, and its implications of the collective identification process.
