Studies on security and migration have emerged in Argentina and internationally, especially about the production of (i)legality of migrants. However, we have noticed that the way in which migration is included in the curricula of police officers has not been problematized. Therefore, using a qualitative approach, we analyzed the ways in which migrations were presented to the "local police" of the Municipality of General Pueyrredon. The Municipal Security School enabled them to gain access to knowledge of Law and Social Studies, from a perspective that is not usual in the security forces. However, an analysis of the content of the courses reveals certain limits: migrants are presented based on stereotypes that place them as a "negative" social problem. Furthermore, the structural inequalities they face are worked on excluding two key dimensions, such as gender inequalities and those of access to habitat.
