This work attempts to study, in Alias Cara de Caballo (1984) by Juan Ahuerma Salazar, the discursive and narrative configurations that, from infractions to the dominant credible, determine the chronotopic construction of the history of northern Argentina conquest, in the territory known as Gobernación de Tucumán, especially those facts that, from the legend, preceded the foundation of the city of Salta. The fictional recovery of the chronicles and colonial times, modeled from the disjunctive and polyphonic and declined from the phantasmagorical, the oneiric, the mad and the mythical, supposes an aesthetic subversion of the narrative and a historiographical review that moves from the official and dominant towards the collective and legendary imaginary as possible plausible narrative, with great incidence of parodic structuring and from the fantastic. The text is enriched with an interview with the author conducted online, as an appendix to the article.
