Resumen

The vicuña (Vicugna vicugna) is a wild ungulate found throughout the Andean highlands, primarily in the Puna and High Andean ecoregions. It is the smallest South American camelid with a body weight in the range of 30–50 kg and a height at the withers between 80 cm and 90 cm. The fibre is very highly valued.
