Throughout the years of philosophical writing that set in Theodor Adorno´s life, it is possible to observe a detailed reflection on the dilemmatic situation in which the idea of equality is placed in modern democracies. After Auschwitz, no longer it would be possible to understand -in the same terms as classic liberalism had thought it- the conflict between the egalitarian principle, which acts as foundation of the juridical-political order, and the principle of recognition of the difference. In this occasion we would attempt to follow the itinerary of these reflections on the problems of moral and political philosophy by way of its negative dialectics.
