Breastfeeding and complementary feeding indicators proposed by theWorld Health Organization (WHO) and the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) were analized.Data were stratified by household income level.Results. The analysis included 5763children younger than 24months old. Although 97% was ever breastfed, only 47% of infants younger than 6 months were exclusively breastfed the previous day and 48% continuedwith breastfeeding after 1 year old, with a higher prevalence in low-income children. The consumption of sweet beverages and the absence of fruit andvegetables were higher in low-income households.Conclusion.
