This paper constitutes the first advance of a long-term investigation around the linguistic formation in the career of Letters of the National University of Tucumán, since the creation Department of Philosophy and Letters (1937), converted in 1939 into Faculty of Philosophy and Letters, up to the present time. The units of analysis in this first stage are curricular documents, related or linked to the creation, modification, transformation and annulment of curricula with the objective of focusing the contents of linguistic education at the higher level, its epistemologic and glotopolitics foundations. This article focuses on the period 1937-1960, the year in which there is a transformation of the Curriculum that persists, without major changes in the linguistic area, up to 2005. The main hypothesis that guides research is that in linguistic education, a scholastic philological model, based on a colonial monolingual ideology, has predominated –with exceptions and contradictions.
