An exploratory inquiry is presented on the teachers and students perceptions in connection with the gender focus and integral sexual education (ISE), in the different levels of the educational system, in the context of the sanitary emergency for COVID–19. Through a flexible design, perceptions of teachers and students were collected, official pedagogical booklets were analyzed and the virtual didactical proposals of different institutions were revised. The results identify interruptions, continuities and new demands around the gender focus and ISE, and a reorganization of the school space in this particular scenario; with weight in three key dimensions: the teaching work, the teacher–student bond and the relationship school–families. Besides, the historical conditions of the local educational system are made visible, as the limits of the working position, the possibilities of cooperation among teachers, the student’s way of solving inequity in the access to knowledge and a new configuration in the relationship between schools and families.
