Espacios de mediación: la Ciudad Universitaria de Córdoba, 1949-1962

Abstract

En el presente trabajo nos proponemos indagar sobre la historia de la Ciudad Universitaria de Córdoba, en tanto nos permitirá mostrar las diferentes mediaciones que se dieron en Córdoba entre arquitectura y política y entre ciudad y cultura. De tal forma, Ciudad Universitaria se presenta como un artefacto heterogéneo que habilita a reponer algunos debates arquitectónicos en una historia cultural más amplia, al tiempo que nos sitúa en un momento muy particular de la ciudad, en el que se estaban desarrollando importantes transformaciones urbanas.In the present paper I intend to inquire the history of University of Córdoba's Campus as it will allow us to show the different mediations that took place in Córdoba between architecture and politics, and between the city and culture. In this way, the University Campus becomes an heterogenous artifact that enable to replace some architectural debates in a broader cultural history, in the context of major urban transformations that were taking place in Córdoba.
