Puerto Rawson: Periodización de su Historia Pesquera

Abstract

Puerto Rawson es un puerto fluvio-marítimo ubicado en el estuario del Río Chubut. Su actividad pesquera ha evolucionado a lo largo de las décadas, transitando distintas fases productivas en función de la explotación de diferentes especies objetivo. Desde la fiebre del cazón en la década de 1940 hasta el actual auge del langostino, el puerto fue escenario de cambios en las embarcaciones, sus tecnologías y su marco regulatorio. Este trabajo analiza la periodización de su historia pesquera basada en registros históricos, informes oficiales y fuentes primarias.Puerto Rawson is a river-sea port located in the Chubut River estuary. Its fishing activity has evolved over the decades, going through different productive phases according to the exploitation of various target species. From the shark fever in the 1940s to the current shrimp boom, the port has undergone changes in its fleet, technologies, and regulations. This work analyzes the periodization of its fishing history based on historical records, official reports, and primary sources.
