Juan Wenceslao Gez (1862-1932) y su contribución a las ciencias naturales y antropológicas

Abstract

Se presenta una breve reseña de la vida y obra de Juan Wenceslao Gez (1862-1932),historiador, educador entusiasta y cultor de las ciencias naturales. Se repasa la infancia, educación,actuación en la función pública y sus aportes a la historia y geografía puntana, a las ciencias naturalesy antropológicas. Finalmente se listan, a modo de apéndice, sus publicaciones científicas y otras.A brief review of the life and work of Juan Wenceslao Gez (1862-1932), historian, enthusiastic educator and cultist of the natural sciences, is presented. We reviewed his childhood, education, performance in the public service, as well as his contributions to the history and geography of San Luis province and to the natural and anthropological sciences. Finally, his scientific publications and other contributions are listed as an appendix.
