The current mode of industrial agricultural production jeopardizes the viability and integrity of socioecosystems in general and in the province of Buenos Aires, Argentina, in particular. One of the factors that can influence the level of adoption of technological innovations aimed at reducing environmental impacts is the linkage achieved between the different actors involved in the territory and their environmental, cultural, social and political commitment. The objective of this study is to analyze the degree of linkage between the level of adoption of sustainable technological innovations by farmers and the level of congruence or coupling between the narratives of representatives of academia, extension and the productive scope. In order to advance in the characterization of this link, a quantitative methodology was applied using techniques that have allowed obtaining and systematizing primary and secondary information. The results show a negative relationship between the adoption of certain sustainable technological innovations and the level of decoupling of the narratives among the actors studied, particularly in reference to the contribution of the practices to the sustainability of the agroecosystem. The decoupling is greater between farmers and academia, and it is necessary to promote transdisciplinary work.
