Thickening the present through survivals and genealogies, acrobatics and circus appear to be a territory of urgent cultural struggles, the link between movement and forms of government of the bodies being at the source of the conflict. Although the text focuseson Buenos Aires, circus and acrobatics emerged tightly knitted to Carl Hagenbeck and Sarrasani’s Germany, Gravity and Other Myths’ Australia, Hindu mantras, Big Circus in the US, as well as to many other displacements. A relationship to humans (and animals), to biomedicine, to State racism and its polices, to urban (and small-town) space and to a certain bodily education that suspends all restrictions, is inscribed into such a map. specific coordinates.
