The present work intends to pursue the senses of the concept of experience along the political theory of Lefort; i.e., since its"Marxist" attentive to the potential of the proletarian experience until his radical opposition between democracy and totalitarianism, stellar nodes of the contemporary experience of politics. Labour will try to suggest that the proposed route reveals, at the same time, criticism of Marxist objectivity and political science and is a political thought sensitive to the event, at the edge of experience. To do this, we will begin with an overview of the phenomenology of Merleau-Ponty, to then address the different strands of the course in question and put an end to a possible counterpoint between political philosophy and experience of politics from the perspective of Lefort.
