The dilution of the great Argentine national political identities evidenced more clearly from the beginning of the 1990s has brought about a series of political events that are interrelated and that have altered some of the national democratic dynamics. From the fading of these identities, our analysis is temporarily placed during the presidency of Nestor Kirchner and aims to reflect the relationship between two phenomena of Argentine democracy: the territorialization of politics and democratic decisionism. From this angle of preoccupations, this text proposes to associate the contributions of Ernesto Calvo and Marcelo Escolar, who expose the distinctive features of the territorialization of Argentine politics, with the concept of democratic decisionism, coined by Hugo Quiroga, from a rereading of Carl Schmitt works.
