This paper addresses the emancipatory turn from an ethical perspective, dealing with issues related to how to live with others in this plural world within the framework of a weak ontology as posed by the Italian thinker Gianni Vattimo. The solution to the problem is the proposal of an ethics of hospitality formulated by the Spanish philosopher Daniel Innerarity, which coincides with the position of the emancipatory turn. The central aspects of this line of work indicated in this writing are three: the expiration of the Hegelian lord-bondsman dialectical relationship in which the Kantian subjectivist thought culminates, proposing as an alternative the guest-host relationship and enumerating the obligations, responsibilities and freedoms of each one in their relations; the practical, political and ethical characteristics of the critical turn, coinciding with the proposal of an ethics of hospitality; and the deconstruction of any narrative that aims to give a comprehensive vision of reality, favoring dialogue, openness and tolerance.
