From the Sociology of Critical Education Norbert Elias and Pierre Bourdieu lay the foundations for the vindication of the affective turn in the field of educational research. The affective dimension is key to understanding subjects, practices and educational institutions. This article recovers a series of analytical categories that allow us to support the question of the emotional habitus. The contributions of figurational sociology allow us to address the transformations of sensitivity in the long term. The contribution of genetic constructivism lies in the overlap between emotional experiences and social history.
