The current transformation of the human environment –natural and social- has turned it into a place increasingly impregnated with technology; there the natural thing is melting in a growing way with self regulated systems. This transformation comes accompanied by two types of rationality historically separated and put in exclusive opposition: the “technological” thought –associated with the calculation-, and the “symbolic” thought –that takes into account the human aptitude to give sense to our actions-. The development of these ideas will allow to show that it is urgent to think an opening to the dialog between both organizational forms, thus also opening to what, from the Theory of the Complexity, we can designate as the Age of Metatechnique.
