Ricardo Rojas, Emilio Ravignani y los archivos provinciales

Abstract

El objetivo de este texto es analizar los intentos llevados a cabo por Emilio Ravignani y Ricardo Rojas por estudiar el estado de los archivos provinciales a principios del siglo XX. Estudiamos además el uso que hicieron ambos historiadores de la documentación proveniente de estos archivos para construir una lectura original y renovada de la historia nacional. El objetivo principal de esta nueva interpretación consistía en valorizar el aporte de las provincias y sus líderes locales en la construcción del orden político e institucional argentino surgido de la Constitución de 1853.The objective of this text is to analyze the attempts made by Emilio Ravignani and Ricardo Rojas to study the state of provincial archives at the beginning of the 20th century. We also examine the use that both historians made of the documentation from these archives to construct an original and renewed reading of national history. The main objective of this new interpretation was to valorize the contribution of the provinces and their local leaders in the construction of the Argentine political and institutional order that emerged from the 1853 Constitution.
