The area comprised by Lanín volcano, located between Tromen and Huechulafquen lakes, posit a series of geological hazards of which the most important is slope instability. The aim of this work is to perform a qualitative evaluation and a zonification of hazard, vulnerability and geological risk considering the conditioning and unleashing factors of mass wasting and anthropic elements in danger. Risk situations created by rapid flows were studied in detail since they are the most outstanding geomorphologic processes due to the threaten they constitute. As a result, several thematic maps representing a zonification corresponding to distinct hazard degrees of rapid flow, vulnerability and risk were obtained. On the basis of this information it is suggested to relocate several infrastructure works.
