Los represores como objeto de estudio: obstáculos, problemas y dificultades para su investigación en la Argentina

Abstract

En tanto categoría social, la noción de represor tiene una historicidad y remite a sentidos construidos política, moral y socialmente al calor de las denuncias, las estrategias de identificación y visibilización y las luchas por la judicialización emprendidas por los organismos de derechos humanos en la Argentina. En tanto objeto de investigación, el universo de los represores, su perfil de clase, sus ideas y valores permanecen como tópicos relegados y/o evitados en el campo de estudios sobre memoria y historia reciente. En tal sentido, el objetivo de este artículo es identificar y poner de relieve algunas de las causas que sirvieron de obstáculo a la hora de indagar sociológica e históricamente en ese universo. Para ello, se buscará dar cuenta cómo este controvertido objeto de estudio involucra dilemas morales y políticos enraizados en las condiciones de producción que fue adquiriendo el campo de estudios sobre la violencia estatal del pasado reciente en el marco de las luchas por la memoria, en los modos de interlocución del debate intelectual y académico y las formas de legitimación que asumió el conocimiento sobre el terrorismo de Estado.As a social category, the notion of perpetrator has its own historicity in Argentina. It refers to political, moral and social senses that have been built on crime complaints, identification and visibilization of the perpetrators and strategies for the prosecution of culprits undertaken by human rights organizations in Argentina. As object of study, the universe of perpetrators, their class profile and their ideas and values remain as relegated and avoided topics in memory studies and recent history studies in Argentina. In this regard, the aim of this article is to identify and highlight causes that have served as obstacle to inquire sociologically and historically in this universe. In addition, this article seeks to exam how this controversial subject involves moral and political dilemmas that are rooted in the atmosphere of the field of state violence studies and in the context of the struggle for memory, and also in the intellectual and academic debate and in the ways of legitimation of state terrorism studies.
