The Battle of La Verde - November 26, 1874, Buenos Aires Province, Argentina - was a civilian armed confrontation developed during the “Mitre´s Revolution” (September to December 1874). It was prolonged for three hours, leaving 300 dead and numerous wounded. Its archaeological-historical investigation made it possible to understand the dynamics of the military event and the technology used. In this article we will present the results of the analyses carried out on the samples of lead ammunition and brass casings found at the site. For the former, the chemiluminescence technique for the detection of human latent hematic traces (Luminol) was used. Comparative ballistics forensic techniques were used to identify individual weapons and groups of weapons. The information obtained was linked to the spatial distribution of each one of the analyzed elements and documentary sources in order to increase the knowledge about the dynamics of the battle.
