What do we mean when we talk about community production of the territory? It is a good question to order the endless number of meanings that the concept can legitimately acquire. We are talking about a counter-hegemonic praxis that a community can produce in a specific geo-historical context. In short, it is expressed in the dispute over spaces (material and symbolic) for the defense and/or production of certain communal forms of existence. The opposition to the construction of a dam in Epuyén, and with it the consequent defense of the small community, is the beginning of a small but extremely dense process to understand that hegemonic territoriality is not a single and inevitable destiny. With this objective, we will briefly develop some passages of the process experienced in the Andean Region in the eighties, and that is part of a historical process in permanent movement, in connection with the resistance to the Basurero Nuclear (Nuclear Dump) in Gastre, the No a la Mina movement, of the historic struggles of the original peoples, and many others with full force today
