Resumen

Chilina mendozana is evaluated as Endangered due to its small number of locations (=5) and restricted area of occupancy of 36 km2 . In addition, fragmented populations are known due to the presence of dams and cities, and a continuing decrease in the quality of their aquatic habitat is observed due to alterations in the flow of rivers because of high droughts, such as the presence of non-native species, as well as declines in the area of occupancy and extent of occurrence.
