The simplified calculation models of thermal load for buildings heating and air conditioning estimate demand in with an overall loss coefficient (G) and cooling or heating degree days (GD). The GD are calculated from the average temperatures of cities granted by the National Weather Service. However various studies have recorded that the city affects the urban climate with significant temperature variations due to their morphological conditions and (artificial and natural) materials. This paper analyzes the microclimatic situations in different representative areas of La Plata city to determine the modification of the conditions of theoretical energy demand and urban energy potential. The results show an overestimation of energy demand in winter in several urban mosaics and differentiable energy potential.
