My object of study is the history of normalism from its origins to the first decades of the twentieth century. And from this communication, I start a new line of work that is part of my field of research. As the title indicates, I will investigate the implementation of religious education in schools. It is about a first approach to the subject, and therefore my exploration will necessarily be panoramic. I take as axis the reading and the application of two laws of Common Education. The law of 1875 dictated in the province of Buenos Aires, and the denominated law 1420 at national level, applied, as it is known, to Capital Fereeral and the National Territories, dictated in 1884. I am interested in questioning them about what they say about religious education, and inquiring how officials read them and applied them in the classrooms.
