Cultural studies, decolonization, the other paradigm, and collaborative ethnography

Abstract

Cultural studies require a critical, decolonial, and intersectional perspective; however, thisis often not reflected in our research. This absence is evident not only in the lack of suchapproaches but also in the topics chosen for analysis. In this paper, I propose a decolonial, situated (field-based) research approach, conducted through collaborative ethnography grounded in an “other” paradigm.
