The aim of this paper is to provide with a few necessary elements to correct the dating of the silense manuscript of Las Siete Partidas from a philological perspective. Taking into account the excellent work of the Prof. Arias Bonet from 1970, we will make precisions about three issues that can be better explained concerning the material conditions of production for the manuscript. We will introduce an alternative hypothesis that refers to the conservation of the testimony. Furthermore, we will make a paleographical comparison of minimum units with the goal of understanding if we can say that the copy was made by two different hands. The aim of this will be to elucidate if the manuscript was made in two differents centuries or otherwise.
