This paper connects two investigations that problematize women’s practices and emotions surrounding food and caregiving. These investigations were conducted between 2020 and 2022, during a period encompassing both the COVID-19 pandemic—marked by the “return to home”—and the period afterwards. Both investigations begin with a sociological perspective on bodies/emotions and food to address, on the one hand, food influencers on Instagram and, on the other, women who run community kitchens, through an investigation on Facebook. First, some reflections on food practices and eating as a form of care are presented. Second, the methodological strategies of both investigations are presented. Next, the analysis of food practices and the emotions linked to them among women food influencers and women who run community kitchens/snack bars is presented from three perspectives: a) food as a care practice that organizes women’s daily lives; b) the meanings given to food, cooking, and eating; and c) love and fatigue as two emotions connected to food and care practices.
