Historically, the Argentine State submitted a regulatory role in the religious field. In this context, state policies conditioned and condition the practices of religious groups, giving some possibility of fulfillment and realization in some cases, and leaving aside other. The following paper proposes a historical analysis of the changes in the religious field and the place assigned to religious minorities. To carry out this task, we focus on the links religious minorities had with the state, on one hand, and with the Catholic Church on the other. Thus, from our position, it becomes necessary to build a space that includes political and religious in the same analysis matrix, given the historical, symbolic, that existed and exist between the political and the religious.
