Different methods, invasive and non-invasive, have been used to assess vascular response. This response determines cardiovascular risk profile. In order to ascertain variability and reproducibility of vascular response to suprasystolic injury by impedance pletismography, seven voluntary subjects were included in the study, without any exclusion criteria. A continuous register of pre-, intra-, and post-test was performed and behaviour was determined every 30 seconds, including even 3 minutes post-desocclusion. The test was performed again with the same conditions after 30 minutes. The findings were that the population means were reproducible among both repetitions, the differences of the means were similar among the repetitions and the temporal behaviour profile was the same between both repetitions. It is possible to conclude that the proposed technique seems to be highly sensitive and repeatable, and it brings information about the temporal vascular behaviour.
