This report documents the progress and results of a project focused on designing scripts for audio guides in tourist circuits in the northeast of Santa Cruz. Integrating over 20 years of research conducted by an interdisciplinary team on heritage and tourism, this initiative seeks to strengthen sustainable tourism development by creating interpretative tools that highlight the historical, social, and cultural values of the region's tangible and intangible cultural heritage. The project focuses on five preliminary circuits. Four of them reflect the rural identity that defined the regional economy in the first half of the 20th century, encompassing elements such as architecture, social crises, and productive enterprises. The fifth circuit addresses the transition toward the oil industry, which became predominant in the second half of the century. The applied methodology is based on a documentary and bibliographic approach that enables the description, explanation, and comparative interpretation of existing data, constructed through documentary, bibliographic, testimonial, and on-site surveys carried out in various research projects. Drawing on the review of successful experiences in the creation of tourism scripts in Santa Cruz and other regions of Argentina, this study proceeds to analyze and systematize the available information on these circuits, identifying their resources, assessing their tourism potential, and developing narratives adapted to the needs of diverse audiences. In this way, the project is understood not only as a means of transferring knowledge to tourism stakeholders, students, and local communities but also as a way to foster the social appropriation of heritage as a tool for its conservation and sustainable management, generating a positive impact on the communities that preserve it.
