This article begins by assuming that feudal traits exist in the forms of domination within contemporary Latin American societies. The study focuses on the extractivist dynamics over nature that reveal constant and increasingly intense socio-environmental conflicts in the Province of La Rioja, Argentina. Specifically, we analyze how the assemblies involved in the struggle denounce these feudal traits as fundamental to the reproduction of extractivist dynamics in the territory of La Rioja. The thesis of this article is that there are relationships that not only exhibit feudal traits of domination, but also serve as a foundation for the reproduction of both extractivist relationships and practices over nature and patriarchal relationships and practices. We categorize these as relationships of privilege and subsistence. Methodologically, the study is based on the qualitative analysis of 21 interviews conducted with women involved in territorial struggles in La Rioja, between May 2021 and June 2024.
