The Russian revolution had an impact on society, politics and culture in Argentina since the end of 1917. Its effects were felt over several years. These traces can be found in different phenomena of the national scene: in the strong growth of strikes and in the organization of the workers movement, in the radicalization of the left and in the hostile reaction of the rights, in the intervention of the State and the new political regime inaugurated by the government of Hipólito Yrigoyen, in diplomatic affairs, in the life of immigrant collectives (above all, the Russian Jewish), in certain spaces of journalism and public opinion, in the world of ideas and art, and in that flow of trips and interventions of organisms and individuals from and to Petrograd, Moscow and the Buenos Aires capital (under the mediation of the Comintern).
