Within the framework of the Solid-State subject, belonging to the Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry of the National University of San Luis (OCD plan No. 3/11), an experimental theoretical work focused on the design and characterization of a luminescent solid material was designed. The synthesized material corresponds to an organic metal-network (MOF) obtained by the solvothermal method and subsequently modified by mechanical grinding and characterized by X-ray diffraction of powders (PXRD), thermal analysis (TGA and DSC) and infrared spectroscopy (FTIR). As a practice of solidstate chemistry, it was planned that the students would carry out the first stage of bibliographic research regarding the applications of the MOFs, then the synthesis and post-treatment stages were designed and finally the characterization of the material.
